Sorry its been so long since I blogged, life has been wonderfully busy!
Shane is deployed again and reenlisted last night while flying over Afghanistan. We both thought that was pretty cool! He is of course already ready to come home and I am already ready for him to be home!
This summer, I have been busy doing a clinical "externship" through my College. It has been an amazing learning experience! I am so glad I got to do it.

School starts back up next month! I am actually really looking forward to it! I have really enjoyed the summer vacation but with Shane gone I am ready to get back into the swing of things!

With my summer vacation came a wonderful visit up to Virgina with see Jim, Chelsie and the babies (who aren't much of babies anymore!)

I'll post some photos when I have a chance. The computer is being slow!

Keeping Busy!

So While the hubby is away I've been trying to keep myself busy!!

My favorite pass time is talking to my man, isn't he lovely? =) He says it's kinda cold there, but he is doing well, and is excited to come home!!

Another favorite is baking! These are Oatmeal Cinnamon Cookies! They are so yummy!

Some days getting pretty boring, and I resort to starring contests with Bella.. she usually wins.

And then of course there is school! This takes up most of my time, which is nice! This picture has everything I need to give a Foley Catheter and and IV =) I must say I am getting pretty good at giving Foley catheters! Im practically a pro.. However, thats on a dummie with anatomical parts that seem to be a bit....larger than humans? Anyhow, I still say Im good at it! it seems so easy! :) I am looking forward to my first victum.. I MEAN. patient!! =D

Life is good! and I am Looking forward to the middle of March for SO many reasons!! =D

Where to Start?

It has been so long since I've blogged, I don't even know where to begin!

Well, as you all know I finished my first semester of the Nursing Program! It was intense but so amazing! I can't imagine doing anything else! A lot of what I learned this semester (bed changes, bathing, etc) I already knew (which was nice!) from doing my CNA (certified Nursing asst) classes and working as one. But I did learn to give all types of shots, and all types of medication! That was so amazing! as horrible as it sounds, it was So fun sticking people with needles!!! =D

As For Shane, he has been preping for his deployment (he left monday the 28th) And started taking some college classes! He is off to Afghanistan this time and should be back RIGHT before Joanna and Jake's wedding! It is supposed to be an 80 day deployment, which would bring him back on the 18th!!! So we are hoping it is shorter than that or he may not be able to come!

Thanks Giving was AMAZING! Shane and I invited out friends Brooke and Em ( brooke is in school with me, she is amazing. Her and her husband have been together since they were 15 and they got married when she was 17, they are a lot like Shane and me, and we love them!!) over and between us two ladies we had a FEAST! Shane and I had out next door neighbors deep fry our turkey... yummmmmmmmmmm... it was incredible! Brooke and I traded off who made what! it was so yummy!

Right after Thanksgiving, Shane and I went to the Saints Vs. Patriots game! we won tickets at a pizza place down here by finding the cherries in a whip cream pie. we won by FAR! We both found all the cherries in each of our pies before one of the couples even found half! =) we weren't afraid to get our faces dirty =) it was so much fun and a time we won't forget, even if the people next to us brought binoculars in order to see!!! hehe

I was for the Patriots, Shane was for the St's.... Makes it more fun that way =)

Christmas for us was relaxing! (Besides me being sick over my entire Christmas break!) We Opened our stockings before breakfast then our presents after =) We both recieved awesome gifts! I got a new camera (I broke mine around 2 months ago!! =( ) his big present was a Play Station 3! He actually got that in November, because it made no sense to buy it for him 3 days before he deployed! as for our christmas dinner we went over to some of his friends house who didn't have any family to spend Christmas with. It was a great Christmas! Im so glad Shane got to be here this year!!

So that about catches us up! Life is busy but amazing. Now Shane is deployed but I am SO greatful that he was able to be home for so many holidays!!! His birthday is Jan 20th, so if anyone wants to send him a card let me know! I have his address!!! =) He would love some!

I am about to start up my second semester of Nursing school! I've heard rumors that the second semester is the hardest of them all! This time we will be learning how to do catheters, IV's, sterile wound care, etc etc.. all the tough important things!!! I am So excited but nervous too!!

I will do my best to keep everyone updated better! Hope to see you all soon!

Nursing Orientation!

Im gonna blog a bit about how my Orientation went! Its mainly to catch Shane up to date and give him a heads up as to what he'll be coming home to, and to anyone else interested!! =)

Today was the last day, it went really well! We learned a LOT more critical and useful information today than we did yesterday. A lady spoke about learning styles, I am (ive known this) a Visual-Haptic learner, I do well by seeing things and hands on, I have a short attention span, and when I sit for long period of times I move(shaking my legs or foot). They gave us lots of tips on to each style should study and test, it was very interesting!
Then, (my favorite part of the day) Nursing students who are half way done with the program came and talked to us. It was very encouraging, and also unerving! They said it's been extremely hard, but amazing.
After that, we got to talk to one of our soon-to-be intrusctors........that was scary...
she gave us stuff to study and said be ready for a quiz the first day! Its just changing Oz to mL and stuff, but still! They have eqivilants and conversions Ive never seen before! So I'll have to start looking at those!! And then she told us our schedule.........
her words were, "You can buy the books next week and begin reading...if you'd like, its up to you. the first day of class we will begin unit 1 it wil take us two days to go over unit one so be prepared for it, Unit one is Chapter 1-5, and 15, 16, then the second week we will do Unit two 6-14, and 32... then we will have our first exam on Sept 9"
EVERYONE went SILENT! The semester starts August 24th and we are having an exam over 22 chapters two weeks into the semester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were all like... If we don't read before the semester begins we are in trouble. haha
So I am looking forward to being able to buy all nine of my books next week and begin reading and outlining each chapter! woohoo!
All in all today was amazing too =) I am so excited!
Oh and Shane, one of the suggestions to us was to slack off on house duties, they said*and I quote* "its okay is the dishes sit in the sink for two days or so, your bed doesn't have to be made every morning... the house doesn't have to be spotless. Do whatever is needed for you to succeed" So....You cant be upset if house duties come after!
They said they have homework due almsot everyday, even on days there are no class you turn it in through the internet! hahahaha
This is gonna be the hardest thing ive never done, but I am SOOOOOOOOOO excited to finally get started!

So sorry its been SO long since we've blogged. Life has been amazing and crazy and blessed! =)
As most everyone knows...I GOT INTO THE RN Program, here at Northwest Florida State College. I recently received a package from them with all the things I have to do (and pay for) before the semester even begins! Because we will be working with patients even our first semester we have to have a clean bill of health, and we have to have a clean background check! (cant be an issue seeing as this will be my THIRD background check since I've lived in FL). And seeing as each cost 96 dollars, I wish they could just take info from my previous ones! lol
I have an Orientation on July 16 and 17 that will explain everything I need to know, how to register for classes, what to expect, and hopefully my schedule(somewhat). My bosses at FWBDC (fort walton beach developmental Center) are excited for me, but extremely sad to see me go, seeing as I don't really want to be working while I'm in the program. The HEAD honcho did, however, offer me the center to do my internship. I am still considering this, there are pros and cons to that, because the actual RNS do nothing there, they just sit in an office, the LPNS do all the meds and interactions, so we'll see about that.

Anyway, moving on!
As everyone else knows Shane was deployed this month, the 20th to be exact =)This is him with all the luggage, as you can see they all look.....similar? haha So he has his marked with BRIGHT green tape. You should see how creative some people get with tape on those cases.
Shane is doing really well over there right now. he says the average days hits about 120. He also says he is So glad he works and night (whens its only about 105 or so) and sleeps during the day!! =) so keep him in your prayers!! He is "scheduled" to come home the beginning of September, but we all know the military and their "schedules".

Seeing as I have no children to blog about, I will blog about my doggy!

Bella has certainly been growing! She is now about 50 pounds and isn't done growing at all. The vet says she'll be a big girl. She is an amazing puppy for being six months old. I can take her on walks and let her off her leash and she'll walk up a bit turn around and wait for me, then walk up a bit, then turn around and wait. And she hardly gets distracted. She hardly noticed birds, cats, even other dogs. The only things she loves too much to pass up are children. she ADORES little kids. =)
Since Shane has left, she has taken over his side of the bed, and i think she'll fight for it when he comes home! She has gotten into the habit of waking me up everything morning around 730 by laying down on my stomach, mind you, 50 pounds plopping down onto a sleeping stomach... not pleasant haha. but it is expected these days. The other morning I woke up because I felt something on a face. Well, turns out Bella was laying on her back arms in the air with her cheek pressed up against mine. It startled me a little and i woke Bella up. All she did was lick me cheek press against my face and go back to sleep. She is so cuddly, I love it. Makes me feel like I'm not sleeping alone! She helps me everyday Shane is gone. I love coming home to an extremely happy dog, rather than a silent house. She loves talking to Shane on Skype too, she'll lick the camera =) she does get very confused when she hears his voice but can't find him. I know she misses him, she hates being outside or locked in my bedroom for the 8 hours Im at work. I have started coming home on the 30 min breaks to feed her and say hello. We can't wait for Shane to be back!

So, Im sure everyone knows that... WE MOVED. it was sudden and fast and crazy but completly what God had in mind for us! About two weeks ago I was feeling very stressed and worn out. IN Church that Sunday I prayed that God would help me out with Work, School, and moving. I seriously felt him lift my stress away and say "Don't worry about it, give it to me and I'll take care of you" So thats what i did. Days later i found out i had straight A's in my classes, im getting better days of work (my weekends right now and thursday friday they will be friday Saturday soon, so I can see Shane more) and I felt at ease about paying to break our lease.
So, the day before we were moving our stuff, we were talking about how awesome it would be if God provided someone to move into our apt.
We walked into the office the next day to pay and the lady looked at us and said " are you 1507?" SOMEONE DOES WANT your Apartment! they called yesterday wanting it.
It was amazing. I started crying right then. So instead of paying 1400 dollars to break the lease we are paying about 200 for the two weeks before the guy moves in plus out 900 dollar down payment will be given back to us. It was incredible!
Anyhoo! Just thought I'd share how amazing out God is =) here are some pictures of our BEAUTIFUL house!

Moving Prayers!

So, the tenant in the house we are renting is moving out tomorrow! meaning we can move in by this coming week, most likely. Our landlord wants to check out the house make sure its all "spit spot" as she says (shes english). And she is putting in a brand new stove which is extremely exciting.
We have our apartment on open lease meaning anyone can move in any time. But if no one wants it by this coming week, we are moving anyway. It'll cost a bit, but we feel God is telling us its time to move. So we figured we'd listen =) Plus now we can get Bella permanently!! shes actually in town with us right now, just spending the night at our friends house. But we spent all evening with her, and will be with her all day tomorrow =) She is still amazing. Weighs about 25 pounds now! shes gettin big!! Prolly nothing compared to Layla!!! (btw.. where are all the pics of her!?!? shes a part of the family too! hehe)
Shane is at work right now, everyone at his squadron has to take turns working MCC (boring desk job) and hes gotten the night shift two nights in a row. Its boring, but its work =)

Spring Break started today for me. and......the weather is horrible. Severe weather warnings, flash floods, tornado watches... its crazy. kinda freaky! It rained soooooo hard today it was hard to believe we didnt wash away!

So! Please keep us in your payers while we move!
ALSO! we will have an extra bedroom soo.....Visitors this summer?? =D

Ready for some updates!?

Hey everyone!
I know its been a while. so lets catch up! Bella is doing amazing, she is living with her doggy mommy and Daddy but LOVE me and Shane. She knows we are her owners. Yesterday, I picked her up for a play date, when I walked into the back yard i was surrounded by puppies but none were her so I called her name and she came SPRINTING from around the corner. She is an amazing dog!

In case anyone didn't know.....WE ARE MOVING!!!! We are moving into a two bedroom two bathroom house. Its still in Fort Walton Beach just a few miles away from where we live now. We are moving at the beginning on April, which is very exciting! I dont have any pictures of the house because there is still a lady living there, so we thought we'd wait =) but it is an adorable house!!

ALSO....Gibson is living with us for a while too. He needed to get away from California for a while. and we agreed he could stay with us for now. It's fun having him here!

What else is new here... OH! we bought a Wii! it's amazing =) and is a good workout! first day we played I was So sore!!
okay last thing before I post some pictures.... I find out NEXT MONTH if I made it into the RN program. so keep that in your prayers. Im very nervous about it =)

Shane got me the greatest Valentines Day present ever... and "she" came early!!!!!!!!! hehe here she is!

She is 7 1/2 weeks old as of today and is already 11lbs 8oz!!!! She's gonna be a big girl!!! Went to the vet for the first time today... she fell asleep on the table (while getting her shots!) shes is an amazing puppy. In the pic directly below she is the dark one hiding in the back left corner!

Shane, has not quiet gotten used to the normal sleep patterns just yet. it is about 8pm and hes been asleep since 7. haha Plus he wakes me up around 6 =)
Anyhoo, So I thought I share with you all (chelsie asked) our holidays!! I decided it i would let shane and I celebrate out "first" christmas and ":first" everything else, just in a bit different way than most =)
I decorated each room.(or a patch of the room) as a different Holiday =) He really enjoyed it!

Operation Homecoming.....

Hooray for Shane being home!!!
After many hours of waiting impatiently he is finally here! He flight landed around 2:56am (exactaly). We had to wait what seemed like FOREVER while they taxied around and went through customs (b/c the came straight from germany). After probably about a good half hour they before their buses started to head over to us. Me and two other wives (their first homecoming too) Didn't know to expect, so we were very nervous and excited. (not to mention exhausted)
So all the buses lined up and all the guys lined up to shake all the "Head Honchos" hands. Both of my girlfriends found their hubbys right away.
However, for me, the task was not so simple. Shane had warned me that he grew a mustache and really long hair. But it was nothing like I had pictured. For a while I got nervous because the line was getting shorter and shorter and still I saw no Sign of him! Apparently he had found me the minuet he stepped off the bus and just watched me search for him, waiting to see how long it took me to recognize him.
He got about 15 feet in front of me before I saw him. And when I saw him I jumped and hid behind my friend that came with me to take pics. i yelled "Oh my gosh! It doesn't even LOOK LIKE HIM!"
Of course from then on, I just ran up to him and literaly jumped into his arms =)
the weirdest thing was kissing him with his "stache" (I dunno how you do it Chelsie! its so weird!!!)
So that is our story haha. I was very embarresed that I couldn't even pick my hubby out of a crowd!! in my defense.....he grew his hair out longer than it has been since we started dating, he grew a mustache and lost about 20 pounds!!!! he looked extremely different!! =)

Also! I have yet another job interview at the developmental Center! this time for a specific house. At this place there are four house each with 16 residents.. You usually get assigned to one house. But I thought I was just going to be an on call person, meaning I would work all the houses whenever needed. But maybe this means something else! =D We'll have to wait and see!!

Well, to start off. My Job Interview went very well! There are a lot more steps in the hiring process though. I am getting set up for another interview to take a tour of the facility. And then they have back ground checks... drug tests... and a physical I need to g through before I am eligible to hire. So She said I wouldn't probably have Orientation till December.. And then I leave two weeks later. She did say me leaving would not be an issue because they don't have real positions open. I would be on call.
So seeing as I am bored, and could use some cash.. :) I am going to the mall today and gonna try and get a job.. haha :) even if it is just for a month. :)
Anyhoo! Shane is doing good! I have some pictures and a video to share with everyone :) The video is typical Shane.. bored on the plane and dancing haha

It's been a while!

Hey Everyone, sorry for the pause in the blog! These past few weeks have been busy.
So here's the catch up!!

Since I got my CNA license, I have still had no luck in finding a job. None of the hospitals around here are hiring CNAs right now. Which is a real bummer because I am really trying to stay busy while Shane is gone.
Which leads me into.... Shane left for Iraq last Saturday (25, i believe) He made it there safely and is trying to adapt to the lifestyle of sleeping during the day and working at night. I can't say too much more about him, mostly cuz I don't know much more!! :)
He's been able to call me twice so far, and he said he'd try and call me tonight but i dunno if it'll happen :) I'll keep my fingers crossed!!
Other than that really not much more as been going on! It's starting to cool off here. Gets down to 30 degrees at night!!!
While shanes gone, I've been hanging out with a Church family a lot! A family that Shane hung out with a lot before I got here. :) They are the sweetest family in the world, and are takin good care of me :)

OH! I bought my tickets to come back to CA! I'll be there the afternoon of Dec 17th!! And I'll leave Jan. 5th EAAARRLLY in the morning :)
Oh and I have Shanes address! If anyone wants it e-mail me or call me and I'll get it to you. I don't wanna put in on the internet where other ppl can see it so give me a call :)

Thats right everyone! I passed my CNA exam!!!! i am beyond words :) It was nerve raking and I know it wasn't possible without the prayers of EVERYONE!! :)

Shane got an exellent flight in last week. It was justt what he needed to boost his nerves :) He did amazing on his flight and shot so much it was like they were in war :)

Sorry its been so long!

well... Ive got lots to say so lets start with the oldest that ive been saying i'll post... PICTURES! we redid our house and it looks SOOO much better

The nerves are starting to set in for both shane and me! Shane is now realizing how soon he leaves and is nervous because he is like the only "new kid" on his flight crew. I know he'll be awesome, hes just got the butterflies :) He found out that he will be stationed in iraq. Don't know the address yet or how we'll be able to stay in contact with him, but I will for sure give everyone that info.
As for my nerves....ive had TONS of school this week and next week. I had a huge take home history test (hardest ive ever had) due yesterday, i had a micro test today, and two papers due next week. and NOW another thing has been added on.... BUT we gotta start from the begining for this one :)
SO we we all know i need a job and have had NOOOOOO luck. well I've figured it out. Last semester I took my CNA exam and failed by one point and I was COMPLETELY bummed out and kinda gave up on it. Well, the other day Shane and I went into the hospital to look for random jobs and they said they really need CNAs SO I applied for my test out here! I did that last week and still haven't heard from them, however, I caleld them yesterday and they said.. "oh yeah your test is OCT. 8th" haha wow.. SOO i am excited but totally nervous. It seems God is making me suck up my previous "failure" and keep going! I am very excited to start working in a hospital :)
anyhooooo.. Life out here is amazing, the weather is kinda starting to cool down and I can't wait for winter!! Its not humid anymore which is awesome :)
WELL THEN. i will keep ya posted on how everything turns out!!!

life in the Military

So as most of you have heard, I'm sure. Shanes deployment date was majorly moved up! Instead of leaving February he now leaves next month! I believe the actual date is October 28, but i'm not certain. It's a total bummer, he won't be able to come out for Christmas or Matty's wedding which he was really looking forward to. :( It's even worse because he is supposed to be back January 5th!! two days after the wedding!!! so close!! But there's nothing we can do, thats the life of the military! You never know when it can change! :)
So keep him in your prayers, hes pretty nervous! Hes only been out of school for a month and they usually give them a few months to get used to it and to in process and out process. But Shane did that very quickly. His commander even recognized how fast he works and said he was looking forward to having him. So again, prayers are good :) And for me too, I have friends and a Church family that I know will take good care of me, but still....
On another thought. I am STILL searching for a job! I have found nowhere to hire me!! I'm applying everywhere! From restaurants to hotel front desk jobs! I've even gone to the mall and applied all around the shops! I have not heard back from a single one! I really wanna get a job before Shane leaves to keep me busy! So keep that in your prayers too!!
For some GOOD news! I went to the RN counselor and found out Im taking WAY to many classes! haha another lady put me on track for my AA emphasizing nursing, where all i really need to right is my AS RN :) So instead of having a fulll semester in spring and doing summer classes. I only have 3 classes left :) AND if I keep my GPA up I have ALL 100 points to get into the program! The college does the nuring program by a point system and they take 54 students so lets pray there aren't wayyy over 54 students with 100 points or else it jsut goes to a lotery!
I'm very excited! if everything goes well, this time next year I'll be in the Nursing program!!
Well, I'm off to microbiology now! (I just had a test and I got a B! woohoo, its way easier than A and P so I know I can get better :))

The storm really wasn't bad at all, just a lot of wind and rain for us!

As you can see the waves started breaking a LONG way back and just kept going. it was really cool, and REEAALLY windy, allmost knocked me over once!
This is where we normally play volley ball.. oops hehe the water actually at one point went all teh way up to the reastruant that are just out of this picture.

I wanted to walk on the pier but i didn't have cash with me :( At some points the water would crash and splash up onto the pier

I know some of you are worried, but don't be!!
All we are getting is rain and wind so far. Shane left yesterday morning around 4am. All the planes flew to Jacksonville FL. He has so clue when he'll come home, but they told him possibly tomorrow sometime. It just depends on the weather.
As for me, I'm here at home! Waitin out the rain. I wanna go to the beach simply to see the water. I heard the whole beach was closed cuz the water was up 3 feet more than it usually is. I wanna see SOO bad! :) Shane says I can't though! hehe
Im trying to get on my school website to see if its open tomorrow, but i can't get there for some reason, so I'll have to trying!
Thats about it for now! I'll try and get some good videos of the wind and rain!

This is Camry, She is my sisters little guide dog puppy in training. Well, this was her many moons ago(June 7, 2007), when she was a teeny tiny puppy. The moment I laid on on the tiny girl I fell for her! She is by far my favorite pup Joj has ever trained (no offense to the others) Camry and I had an intense connection. No one really knows why we just clicked right away. When Cam was about this age (tiny baby), I would lay on the ground and have her lay on top of me and we'd wrestle and cuddle.
well....that tradition went on even after she was full grown. if I laid on the ground no matter what, she would come lay on me. and nuzzle her head on my chest and neck. Most of the time we would wrestle around :)

Well, now my sweet sweet girl is going to be a Mama!!1 Joj and cam just heard the news last week! I about cried when she told me cuz this means I get to see her again when I come home!!!!!!
I am so proud of Cam Bam to the Bam cam and I can't help but smile when I think about her! I miss Camry so much, and I've heard that she misses me too!!! and I've heard that other people try to get her to lay on them, but she won't :D that makes me happy for some reason! :)
Anyway!

Camry, my hats off to you! Congrats on being such an amazing pooch and good luck on the puppies!!!! You are gonna make an incredible mama!!

This is something I just found and I loved it :)

How to identify a Military Girlfriend/Fiance/Wife.....
1. We own at least one article of clothing that says our man's Military Branch on it and wear it at least once a week
2. Our AOL/ Yahoo/Myspace/Xanga ect. profiles have something to do with military or have song lyrics in them
3. We know what the terms Head, Rack, Field Day and PT mean and have no trouble using them on a daily basis
4. We know the difference between a Recruit, Enlisted, Officer and know the rank structure like the back of our hand
5. We feel every note of the songs "I'm Already There", "When I'm Gone", "Here Without You", "Proud to be an American" and "The National Anthem" (it is usually one of these songs whose lyrics can be found in our profile, LOL!!!)
6. We watch the news and cry hysterically for fallen Marines, Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors and no one seems to understand why
7. We just cry.... and cry.... and cry... and cry for no reason at all and we are fine with that!! (It's normal isn't it?)
8. We have at least one (but probably more) family member or friend that doesn't approve or understand our long distance relationship
9. At the ages 17, 18, 19, 20, 21; we have no problem saying YES to a marriage proposal
10. Every time there's a bulletin on Myspace having to do with military they forward it on
11. They smile when they see a soldier in public dressed in his uniform
12. They get a little teary eyed when the Star Spangled Banner is sung at sporting events and watching the flag blow in the wind
and the 13th way to identify a US Military girlfriend, fiance' or wife....
13. They will post this on their myspace or somewhere for everyone to see

HIP HIP HOORAY!!! Shane finally did it!!! He is officially done with Training!!! Last night as most of you know from my text message, Shane went on his check flight last night. It's pretty much a normal flight but someone follows him around checking him off on all the different things necessary. After being in the air for about 6 or more hours they were done!! The guy looked at him and said good job.
The guy checking him *the big dog* looked at him, the 4th (the squadron hes going to) is looking forward to having him and that Shane will be a great asset to the squadron. Saying that made Shane just like light up inside. He said thats one of the best things he could have said to Shane. Needless to say Shane was extremely excited!
So to prove to others hes out of the 19th (the training squadron) he gets a new patch on his flight suit.
There is it! haha On his shoulder that is the ghostrider 4th SOS patch!! here is a closer look at it =D He is so proud of that little thing. he says the best thing about it is, When his commander told him he had passed and was a part of the 4th now he took his own patch of his shoulder and slapped it on Shane's shoulder. Shane said it was a pretty cool gesture.
We are still trying to figure out why the ghost is so fat. Shane says that just shows off the Air force. hahaha
We are SOOO excited that he's finally out of training!! Its normally about 2 months after the check until they get deployed. So we are expecting that. but lucky me his deployments are only 2-3 months so HOPEFULLY he will be home in time for Matt and Kayties wedding, but it'll be pushing it!
As for other news. I start school tomorrow! I am very excited to get out of the house! and to start back on track to Nursing! we are still working on the financial aid stuff. But we are doing just fine!
As for my job interview.. *sorry I left you hanging* It was quite the disappointment! I got there and the manager asked me if I had ever bar tended. I said "no I'm too young". he then went on to say he didn't know what he needed and would call me in the future. I thought it was pretty strange how he handled the interview and that he even needed an interview to tell me what he did. So I am still on the search for a job! This is the worst time to look for a job because everyone is full from hiring on summer help. So we'll see where i end up!
No other news so far. Tropical Storm Fay looks like it won't end up over us. but its very unpredictable. They are guessing that it will die off by Friday/Saturday because it'll have been over land too long. So we are praying thats what happens. As for the weather here.. it's beautiful! the storms has swept away our clouds and its bright and sunny and beautiful! But we will for sure keep you updated on the storm!

Joj Was getting upset that we haven't updated in so long. I told her there just wasn't too much going on right now! She said "that's the wonder thing about blogs, you can write about anything!"
So I'm here to ramble.
First I actually do have some news! I have a job interview tomorrow!! woohoo! It's at a restaurant called Longhorns Steak House, it seems to be a lot like Wood Ranch so I'm pretty excited! I've talked to the GM and he seems pretty nice and I'm very excited to sit down with him tomorrow! I'm praying they'll take me on as a server, I really don't want to start from the bottom again! :)
Anyway, School starts next thursday! I'm actually really excited about that! I love school. The hardest class I'm taking is Microbiology (so Molly be prepared for some phone calls ;) ) I've heard the teacher I have isn't very hard, so thats good.
Shane has gotten in two of the four flights he needs. he had a flight last night but it got canceled (whats new) So he's got one more flight and then his final flight! We are praying he gets them done soon so he can get deployed and be back in time for Matt and Kayties wedding!!
Hummmm What else. I guess I'll just tell a funny story that happened a few Sundays ago. First a picture =D
The other two peoples in there are Justin and Joann, Justin and Shane became friends like the moment Shane started attended our Church. he's an awesome guy, and Joann is his new girlfriend, We hit it off great. The funny story is..... The first time I went to Choir practice, I walked in with Justin and he introduced me to the director. I guess when I walked away the Director started asking Justin all sorts a questions about me and he was just like. "I'm not sure.. I don't know" So about half way through practice we began learning a song called "you are my world" And the Director looks at me and says "Ali, is Justin your world?" and I was jsut like "Excuse Me? I'm married, to the guy sitting down there! I didn't know I could have a boyfriend too!!" Everyone started cracking up, and the director turned bright red. it was hillarious. And now that Justin and I sing in the choir Shane and Joann always sit in the pews waiting for us, so its like out big joke that we switch on and off. I swear the Church gets so confused. =D So we thought that picture was funny because I'm next to Justin and Joann is next to Shane. They even played a Church slide show and showed it =D we all laughed really hard.

Scare you?? haha not a baby!!!!!

Shane and I need another form of transportation and we've decided to a smaller more gas mileage efficient type of transportation......A motorcycle. We have been thinking about it and praying about it for a long time. Asking God if we should buy a car or a motorcycle, pretty much asking him how we can both get from point A to point B at the same time going separate directions. It came down to a bike. We cant afford a car right now and we both feel very at ease with buying a bike!
We've done a lot of looking around and today we got approved for our loan which was nerve raking but exciting at the same time!
As we walked out the door to go lookin at the bike we liked we decided to take one more trip to some other stores JUST to see if anything else came in =D needless to say that just caused trouble!! (way more expensive)
so we ended up back at our original location to check out the bike we had chosen in the first place.. Annnnnnnnnnnnd it was GONE!!! But we talked to the guys there and they told us there was another one in the back only difference was color.. its gone from black to dark blue =D
(I for one am lovin the dark blue color)
We didn't buy it today but we are going back tomorrow to get it! here is a picture of our baby! =D

Dont you love when life seems to fall into place!!
Life is so hectic right now, trying to figure out my college situation, how to pay for college, Shane is desperately trying to finish up his training, we are trying to adapt to paying bills, trying to figure out another form of transportation. Life is just complicated and hectic as it should be a month after you get married!

However, don't you LOVE when in ONE day some of those things fall into place. I went to Shane's base today and talked to a college counselor (the base has tons of the local colleges classes available on base) While I was there I figured out that ALL my classes from Ventura transferred, and picked all the classes I need to take to get my AA. we even talked about how to sign up for the nursing program.

Also I randomly heard about this thing called TA (tuition assistance). Hurlburt Base JUST started it up. As far as I know they pay for practically everything for airmen's spouses!! I was so excited to hear about it! it's exactly what we needed!! I am going to a briefing about it on Tuesday to help me figure everything out about it!!

so now all we need is for Shane to finish his training!!!! =D He has been scheduled to fly four times and each time they have been cancelled either due to weather or the plane breaking. He'll show up for his flight around 1:30pm and cal me around 10:00pm saying "it's can canceled".
So keep Shane and his flights in your prayers he's so close to finishing his training, the only thing keeping him from that are the planes not working!!

Other than that, we are getting used to life out here and together and it's wonderful! =D

Well hello everyone!
Sorry it's been a while since we've updated! I've been trying to get Shane to post something, but he says he's not capable! haha So Im here again blabbing on!
Shane is on a flight right now as I write! He is on his last "X" flight meaning pretty much a catch up flight. And tomorrow he starts the first of his last three flights! He is hoping to be done and "graduated" by the middle of next week! he has three flights this week and one next week and thats hopefully his last!
Well, what else is knew? I joined our Church choir and this coming sunday will be the first time I sing in Church with them! I'm very excited.
The choir is fun, lots of people my age but also some older folks but they are all so sweet! it's fun having young people in the choir! We're pretty good too! I wish we worked on more technique stuff like (actually following whats written in the music) but thats OK. The directors Name is brother Tim (everyone is brother and sister for some reason...its not catholic though!!) Shane and I believe that he thinks he is the white hick version on Bernie Mac, he tends to dress like him a lot.
I talked to Tim and he said he wanted me to sing on the worship team soon and to sing some solos so I am very excited about that! I'm so excited to start singing more!

Heres some randomness!
This is what I wanted Shane to blog about! hahahaha
The other night Shane decided to dress me up in his entire Uniform! Oxygen mask included as you can see! And had me hold a shell of the 105 bullet on his plane!
Thats the biggest of the three bullets they fire.
As you can see its very large and take me word for it.. HEAVY! I love Shane uniform it reminds me of big footie pajamas!

The only other thing thats new here is im almost all done registering for college. and my college has changed names and rank! haha
In the past like year I think this college has gone from Okaloosa walton Community College, then upgraded to Okaloosa Walton College and is now Northwest Florida State College!
it's cool that I'm going to a state college, but i think it upped the cost a bit! we are hoping to Air Force is will to let me have some of Shane's College Fund! =D

Our Home Town

I had a request that I post some pictures of the city we live in! So the other day I drove around and took some pictures! This is our lovely apartment! Ours is the Third story middle door! We love it here!
This is the inter-costal water way! I am stand in the parking lot of a restaurant. This particular day I took pictures was an extremely beautiful day! since the storms have stopped for now everyday has been looking like this! We am very much enjoying the weather!!
Driving over the intercostal water way on brooks bridge going down into okalossa island! this is where we go to the beach!
And this is our lovely beach!! Now, normally this water is so clear you can see the bottom or open your eyes under water. But lately because of all the storms we've been having all the algy from the bottom has been drug up to the surface so it has a very green look to it. Its no too pleasant to swim in either. You come out with green "boogies" all over you!This is one of my favorites!! You get a good view of our white sand and you can see the strip of DOZENS of hotels along the beach! and thats just one way!!! okaloosa Island is just covered with hotels, it's crazy!

And this is our pier! I like this picture for two reasons! 1. You can see how blue the water usually is and how green it is by the shore. 2. Our ocean looks like a lake!! =]

Shane's softball team has another game tonight! if they win the first one they do another one back to back and if they win that one, our church are the champs!! =]

God Opening the Heavens!

Well, yesterday was an interesting day! It started out perfectly normal, sunny, hot, and beautiful. We sat through Church went out to lunch with some friends then headed out to the baseball field to hit some balls!
Shane plays on our churches softball team. They are in the playoffs right now and wanted some extra practice!!
Well, we were out there playing some ball for a few hours when this rolls in!
it was like nothing I've ever seen before!! there was constant thunder and lightning. What is crazy is that where we were standing at that moment, it was still bright and sunny! we just stood there and watched that. The craziest thing is that the wind completely changes direction! The STRANGE thing is it blows toward the storm even though the clouds are moving toward us... I was told that the storm was sucking the wind into it! HOW CREEPY!
Once the clouds got a little closer we all looked at eachother and said... "ummmm...it's really time to go!" We packed up our stuff as fast as possible and litterally ran to our cars with pouring rain chasing after us! The wind was blowing in swirls. Then what happens? we drop the bucket full of the balls!! haha we scrambled around picking them up and tossing them in the back of the car.
As soon as we closed each door.. BOOM God opened the heavens!! haha it was incredible.

When we dropped off the balls at our friends house we noticed that the wind and thrown a bunch of trash in their yard. So we jumped out and started picking it up. Thats when it really started coming down1 within less than a minuet i was completely soaked!

The weather out here in incredible. Its fun seeing something different than California.....even though I'll be wanting California soon! If that T-storm was crazy....I can't even imagine a hurricane!!!

Well neither of us have ever blogged before and neither of us are HUGE computer people but was are trying a BLOG! =]
They seem to be the best way for people to stay in touch with everyone!
So...
Hi everyone!!
Life is pretty wonderful out here in Florida! So far there has been a LOT of rain and humidity.. Welcome to Florida I suppose!
I've heard that Florida is the sunshine state but also the lightning capital of the world..... how do the two mix? I'm still trying to figure that one out!
Our new apartment is pretty much all set up due to the mass amount of target gift cards we got from the wedding!
We love it here our home really truly feels like home =]
Its very nicely placed too! it's about 5 mins from the beautiful white sand beach, about 7 mins from Shane base (Hurlburt) and about 15 mins away from the college I'll be attending this fall (Okaloosa Walton College).
Shane is almost done with his training. he was held up about two months due to being sick. first there was an ear infection, than major sinus infection, and just recently there was a scare with his right eye. He went into the eye doctor for a normal test and according to the dr. he didn't pass (20/20) In Shanes job on a plane you have to have 20/20 corrected or not. well this doctor couldn't get his right eye corrected due to a bulge she found on his cornea. which she said could possibly be an issue called keratoconus. Thats when the cornea becomes thinner and thinner making the cornea into a cone shape, destorting the vision. So he was put on dniff(not able to fly) and was sent to an eye specialist. It was a nerve racking trip but ends up he still has 20/20 without glasses and does have a small bulge on on it but the doctor said it could just simply be the shape of his eye. he said it is possible he has the begining of keratoconus but medically he can't say that yet.
So we are thrilled Shane can jump back into his training with no worries.
He's due back at the eye Dr. in six months to check up on his eye and see if its gotten worse. So please keep him in your prayers!!
